Sanrio Strawberry House

For those who find themselves visiting Denenchofu, Tokyo in Japan, make sure you drop by the Sanrio Strawberry House (Ichigo No Ouchi).

Constructed in 1984, the building is said to be one of Tokyo’s first shopping centers for children, creating a fantasy world where they can play in strawberry fields. It is three-storied, the first two floors carrying Sanrio merchandise and the third a strawberry-themed playroom (and can be used for special events!). And when we say strawberry-themed, we mean strawberry-themed! From tables to fixtures, the room is surrounded by strawberry-shaped stuff, further creating the fantasy world for the kids.

The building is flanked on two sides by a smaller strawberry and a mushroom.
