Hello Kitty and Friends 3-D Animation Premiere

People of Hong Kong, rejoice! The Adventures of Hello Kitty and Friends are making their debut on the TVB network tomorrow, 16 February, at 4 in the afternoon. Join Hello Kitty, Pochacco, Keroppi, Cinnamoroll, Dear Daniel, My Melody and the rest of the gang as they have fun in Sanrio Town. Hurray!

By the way, more good news for Hello Kitty fans: last February 9, 2008, The Adventures of Hello Kitty and Friends was aired in Italy and was very well-received. Here is the show's introduction (in Italian, of course).

All About: The Little Twin Stars

Real Names: Kiki (the younger brother) and Lala (the older sister)

Birthday: 1974

The twins were born on Compassion Planet, in Dream Galaxy. They were really curious about life on Earth and spent time wondering about it, and so they asked their father, an inventor, and their mother, a poetess, if they could visit it, and they agreed. Saying goodbye to their friends the sun, moon, stars, and clouds, and with Lala's star wand guiding them, they reached Earth safely and have since spread happiness to everyone they meet.

Kiki loves to fish for stars, explore new planets, and invent new things (he takes after his father!) He loves spring and summer the best, because he likes to look at fields of dandelions from his cloud-top perch.

Lala likes to cook, draw pictures, and compose poetry (she takes after her mother!) She loves autumn and winter the best (she writes to her father and mother while floating inthe clear winter sky).

Sanrio Japan has released a winter line devoted to our favorite twins from outer space, Kiki and Lala, better known as the Little Twin Stars. SanrioTown offers its members to download emoticons and skins that they can use to personalize their MSN Messenger accounts. They can share their love for their favorite Sanrio characters by making use of these. The best part of this is that the downloads are absolutely free, like the other items on Sanrio - which means that they can save their favorite stuff without being charged for it!

Right now, the downloadable emoticons are that of Keroppi and Kiki and Lala, otherwise known as the Little Twin Stars.

Focus on: Kitty Puzzle

Jigsaw puzzles are no longer limited to cardboard pieces. Play the SanrioTown Kitty Puzzle and get the chance to assemble at least one of the puzzles there.

As can be seen in the images, the puzzles aren't limited to designs that feature Hello Kitty. Instead, other characters like the Little Twin Stars, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll can be seen and played with. Every time you load the game, a different pattern can potentially appear to give you new challenges.

Another twist of the game is that it's time-limited, which means that you have to put the pieces together within a specific number of seconds, otherwise, you'll lose the game. Don't worry though, the time that is provided is more than enough for you to piece together the design.

If you finish the puzzle quickly, you may get the chance to be included in the Top Players list of the game. In fact, trying to beat the scores there could be an extra challenge for you!

Focus on: Little Twin Stars Tetris

Let's go retro!

For those who grew up in the 90s (or for those who want to experience it), relive the day of the brick game by playing Little Twin Stars Tetris at SanrioTown!

The game works the same way as the old Tetris games of the not-so-distant past, but with cuter graphics. Differently-shaped pieces will fall one by one from the top of the screen (from Lala, to be exact), and the player has to stack these in whatever way s/he sees fit (and watch Kiki follow the piece being controlled :P). Whenever a row becomes completely filled, it will disappear and points will be awarded on how many tiles have been removed.

Not only are the pieces differently shaped, they're also made up of different fun things, including candies, stars, hearts, and puffs of clouds. Better resist keeping all of these though, or else you'll lose the game!

Focus on: Puzzle Games

Since Sanrio Town is featuring "Badtz Maru Construction" now, we've decided to feature the other Puzzle Games of the site!

First we have Little Twin Stars Tetris. This brings us back to the 90s craze of Tetris! The Sanrio Town feature, however is cuter: instead of plain old blocks, we've got shapes like stars, hearts, and candies descending as Kiki and Lala look on.

Next we have the game that's everyone's loving these days: Sudoku! You can choose any of the following options according to your skill (and bravery): Easy, Medium, Hard, and Tough.

Lastly, we have Sanrio Town's featured game: Badtz Maru Construction. Help XO clear the area for construction by moving the bars and digging holes.

World Famous Hello Kitty Advances to New Digital Heights

Joint venture, Sanrio Digital, propels the famous character’s online home into the digital future
