Meet Tabisuke, the jasmine tea lover who loves to travel. On his journeys, he always thinks about the people important to him. He is always seen with the trademark handkerchief around his neck (incidentally, he happens to be a handkerchief collector). Aside from jasmine tea, he also likes 4 o’clock strolls, Japanese sweets, taking naps, writing letters, and just about anything that can be done slowly. His motto in life is, “Every day is a different journey.

Shirousa and Kurousa are twin boy bunnies living in Bunniesfield, along with other bunny twins. They are considered geniuses of their own right. They are patissiers with a magical touch - any cake made by them fills a person with happiness. At night, they use a secret portal at the back of their oven leading to the human world to bring happiness here too! If you eat sweets and feel happy about it, there’s a chance it’s made by the twins, because as the people sleep, they go to sweet shops and produce goodies before the sun comes up.

Kurousa is kind and laid-back, while being concerned for his brother. Shurousa is stylish and fun-filled. He is usually the one that acts as the leader.

Hello Kitty goes a-rocking again! The new collaboration with Hard Rock Cafe Japan brings our favorite feline into the music yet again, proving that rock music and cuteness do not have to be mutually exclusive of each other.

The collaboration produced products that include shirts, pins, keychains, and bags. The items have a limited supply, so if you’re from Japan and crazy about music and Hello Kitty, be sure to run to the nearest Hard Rock Cafe and grab these items now before they’re sold out!

Hello Kitty Named as J-Pop Summer Festival Co-Chair

Sanrio’s figurehead Hello Kitty joins Dana Lewis, executive director of the Japan Society of Northern California, and Paul Osaki, executive director of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, as co-chairs for the upcoming J-Pop Summer Festival this August 15, 2009. This will be the first annual J-Pop Festival, and will run from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M, in San Francisco Japantown. The event is also a celebration of the opening of the “New People” building, which is touted to be one of the biggest hotspots of SF, and the only one to exclusively offer people more than a taste of Japanese popular culture.

The event is free and open to the public, so if you live in the area, do drop by!

HKO Commercial Preview begins for Singapore and Malaysia!

Hello Kitty Online is now in Southeast Asia, and we invite all our fans and players from Singapore and Malaysia to join the fun! Starting today at exactly 12:00 (GMT+8), Gloot.net will be hosting their Commercial Preview for HKO. This launch serves as their Open Beta, where players will be able to access the Item Mall and enjoy special events led by the Game Masters.

To participate in the commercial preview, sign up for an account at SanrioTown South East Asia, download the client from the Gloot.net download page, and log-in to the game using your SanrioTown SEA email address.

The commercial preview will run for 2 weeks starting August 5, 2009. See you there, and we hope you enjoy the game!

Hello Kitty at the Comiket

Tokyo, Japan’s Comiket (Comic Market) this August will be extra-special for the Hello Kitty fans out there, because it’s the event that will launch a new project of Sanrio that’s focused on everybody’s favorite white feline.

Called “Together with Hello Kitty”, the event is actually geared for moe otaku, and the corresponding products that will be released during the Comiket. To create this, Sanrio collaborated with artists such as okama, POP (Moetan), and Kuroboshi Kouhaku (Kino’s Journey). Some of the designs show young Hello Kitty fans showing their love for their favorite character by incorporating her design in their outfits.
